EU‑Funded Training Event Supports Businesses in Strengthening Technical Compliance for Green Line Trade

The EU One Stop Shop (EU OSS), with the financial support of the European Union, successfully hosted a training event today at the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce (KTTO) on regulatory compliance requirements and the preparation of technical files required for introduction of products to the EU market across Green Line.

The comprehensive presentation explained the structure of technical file, the regulatory obligations under EU law, and the purpose behind these requirements, with particular emphasis on the Construction Products Regulation (CPR). The event brought together businesses, chamber representatives, EU officials, and EU OSS staff, reflecting the EU’s continued commitment to facilitating and increasing Green Line Trade (GLT). Throughout the session, speakers highlighted how GLT contributes to the development of higher quality standards, strengthens safety and creates economic opportunities for both communities.

The discussion underscored that GLT is a legal and regulated form of trade designed to support the welfare of all Cypriots, and that the EU OSS remains an accessible and reliable resource for businesses seeking guidance, information, and support to engage confidently in GLT.

For more information on GLT or support services, businesses are encouraged to contact the EU One Stop Shop.
