Information Session on CBAM Requirements for Green Line Trade

The EU One Stop Shop (EU OSS) is pleased to invite Turkish Cypriot traders, consultants, and stakeholders to an EU‑funded Information Session on the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) and its implications for Green Line Trade.

Date: 9 June 2026
Time: 15:00 – 17:00
Venue: KTTO, Nicosia
Organised by: EU OSS

CBAM introduces new reporting and compliance obligations for importers of certain carbon‑intensive goods entering the EU market. As several CBAM‑covered sectors—such as iron & steel, aluminium, cement, and fertilisers—are active in Green Line Trade, this session will provide clear, practical guidance tailored to the needs of Turkish Cypriot traders.

What to expect: • Overview of the CBAM framework and timelines • Transitional phase (2023–2025): quarterly reporting • Definitive phase (from 2026): CBAM certificates • Required emissions data from producers • Common mistakes and how to avoid them • Interaction between CBAM, Green Line procedures, and KTTO documentation

A specialised CBAM expert will deliver the technical presentation, followed by a Q&A session. Participants will also receive a printed FAQ.

Participation is open to all interested traders and consultants. For attendance confirmation, please register here.
